We are excited to announce Trans Pride Film Night! To celebrate International Transgender Day of Visibility, the Hyde Park Picture House, Trans Pride Leeds and Leeds Queer Film Festival will present a wonderful selection of independent trans films from around the world.
Mainstream representations of trans people on film still often talk for trans people rather than with them. Our selection will feature trans people talking about their own feelings and experiences – defining life on their own terms.
Alongside three magnificent short documentaries, we are proud to host the special preview screening of Jason Barker’s remarkable feature documentary, A Deal with the Universe, following the life of Jason and his partner after they decide to pursue parenthood, leading to the birth of a child that Jason courageously chose to bear.
To find out more about the short films please visit our website: https://bit.ly/2Cg65lN
Because of two small steps at the cinema’s main entrance, step-free access to the main auditorium and foyer is available via a side entrance. If you wish to access the cinema from this way, please let a member of staff know upon arrival.
Unfortunately none of the toilets have step-free access.
We currently have three wheelchair spaces in the main auditorium – one at the back left, one at the front left and another at the front right. If you wish to reserve these in advance of your visit, please call the cinema.
